I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and CEO of SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services, a group practice providing psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric services, and psychological evaluations for immigration.
We offer our services in Connecticut with two offices in New York and expanding in Massachusetts!
In 2018, I decided to get my license and start my private practice part-time. I was doing great work as a school social worker, but I needed to make more money to fulfill my dreams.
My dreams were too big for my salary, and I refused to conform to poverty and not being able to care for my son as a single mother. I want better education and opportunities for my son.
I desired to continue sending my son to private school, pay for his private violin lessons, and travel the world. The job I had was not allowing me to fulfill these desires.
You see, my deepest desires are aligned with my purpose, vision, and mission in the world.
Initially, I intended to begin part-time until I could transition to full-time. Surprisingly, my business marketing strategy and plan were so effective that I could leave the school system and start my private practice as a SOLO provider and a group practice. The response to my marketing efforts was overwhelming. I had over 150 people on the waitlist. I immediately began to grow my practice and designed the Multi-Million Dollar Private Practice Framework™. The MMDPP Framework is my eight pillars of business success that have helped me grow from nothing, with no money for an upfront investment, to a multi-million dollar practice.
I didn’t have the money but I had a big dream, desires, and a business plan to help me get out of my money struggles and thrive financially.
Additionally, I have a Master’s in Psychology and Social Work, and I also hold a Master's in Business Administration. I have wanted to be a businesswoman since I was 7. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience. I have a track record of helping people overcome obstacles and create the life they want. I developed the Multi-Million Dollar Private Practice Principles to build and scale SMPyschotherapy and Counseling Services into the dynamic practice it is today. SMPsychotherapy employs over twenty-five licensed mental health therapists, two psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and administrative staff. My group practice serves over eleven thousand clients.
When I transitioned from working as a school social worker to private practice, I relied on the knowledge gained in my MBA program. Since starting my practice and hiring therapists, I discovered that university programs that train people in helping professions teach the fundamentals of practice rather than the business side.
